A shell and Plate Heat Exchanger is typical heat exchanger consists of a series of stacked plates and enclosed in a container shell. The plates are arranged in a chevron pattern, with each plate having its own inlet and outlet ports. Heat is transferred between the two fluids as they flow through the plates and shell respectively.
Shell and plate heat exchangers are used in particularly industrial plant. They are those require larger surface area and higher heat transfer coefficient, while at the same time, of high temperature and pressure.
