The domestic automobile glass production and supply giant Fuyao Group will invest and set up a production base in Liuzhou. The annual production capacity will reach 3 million sets, and the project will initially be located in Liuzhou Hexi Industrial Park. Cao Dewang, chairman of the company, arrived in Liuzhou on June 10.
The automobile is the largest pillar industry in Liuzhou and this year's auto production is expected to reach 1.5 million. As the national automobile and parts export base, the city's entire automotive industry has formed a relatively complete upstream and downstream industrial chain. Its good industrial development atmosphere, high-quality industrial workers cultivated by high-quality vocational education, and the advantage of enjoying zero-tariff policy in the China-ASEAN trade zone are attractive to Fuyao Group.
Fuyao Group is the largest auto glass producer in China with the highest level of technology and the largest export volume. At present, the supply volume of Fuyao Glass in SAIC-GM-Wuling reached 85%. The Group has established automotive glass production bases in Changchun, Shanghai, Chongqing and Beijing, and has formed a complete set of production and sales network systems throughout the country. The production base established by Lailiu will also be able to irradiate automobile OEMs in Hainan, Hunan, and ASEAN, while meeting local needs.
