According to the Economic and Trade Commission of Fuzhou, high-pollution companies such as Fujian Southeast Electrochemical and Fuzhou Yaolong Chemicals will all move out of Fuzhou City within three years.
According to briefings, with the continuous expansion of the city scale of Fuzhou, Fujian Southeast Electrochemical Corporation (formerly Fuzhou II) and Fuzhou Yaolong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. have all basically become residential areas. Most of the companies in the area have also been relocated. Some of the relocated chemical companies had relatively old equipment, and the exhaust gas and noise emitted had a great impact on the lives of surrounding residents. Fuzhou City’s relevant departments have been promoting the relocation of these enterprises in recent years. According to the preliminary plan, high-pollution enterprises in Fuzhou City are expected to complete the relocation in 2011.
At present, Fukang Pharmaceutical and Fucheng Monosodium Glutamate Plant (formerly Fuzhou MSG Factory) are being relocated. Some of the workshops of Fukang Pharmaceuticals have been relocated to the Jiangyin Industrial Concentration Zone in Fuqing City, which is more than 60 kilometers away from Fuzhou City in July 2002. The entire workshop will be completed before the end of June this year, and the old factory will be built without pollution. Product R&D center, sales center, and administrative center. Fujian Southeast Electrochemical and Fuzhou Yaolong Chemical are also planning to relocate to the Jiangyin Industrial Concentration Zone. Southeast Dianhua Chemical Company has formulated a specific relocation plan. At present, the preliminary work is basically completed.
