The association thus raised its forecast for the beginning of the year by 8 percentage points. The operating rate of German agricultural machinery production reached 85%, and the orders were sufficient. Some factories received orders even enough to maintain production until next year. Germany's agricultural machinery market capacity this year has increased by 25% to 4.9 billion Euros, which will exceed 9% in the peak of 2008. About 35,000 new tractors were sold this year. Farmers have purchased so many new equipment only in the 1980s.

In addition, the German agricultural machinery export industry increased significantly (16%), and the export value rose to 24 billion euros. France is a large importer of German agricultural machinery (1.2 billion euros), followed by Russia (600 million euros).
