Due to the assembly line problem of some vehicles in the scope of this recall, the tightening torque of the fixing nut at the link between the leaf spring of the rear axle of the vehicle and the beam hanger is not up to the specification. The fixing nut is used when the vehicle is driving on an uneven road for a long time. Further loosening may result in abnormal wear of the rear tires, abnormal noise in the rear axle suspension system, and abnormal wear of the rubber bushings at the link between the leaf spring and the beam hanger. In some cases, the fixing bolt may break, affecting the stability of the vehicle and present a safety hazard.
Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will check the fixing nuts at the link between the leaf spring and the beam hanger for the vehicle within the recall range, and replace the components of the rear suspension system according to the inspection results to eliminate the defects.
