PTV Group is engaged in software R&D business, providing transportation planning and logistics services to its customers, with more than 700 professionals worldwide. This acquisition is part of a long-term investment strategy, as Porsche Motors Holdings expects to have greater business growth potential after optimizing passenger flow and logistics, while passenger flow and logistics are precisely the most core competitive businesses of PTV Group.
In the past few years, the PTV Group has developed well in terms of revenue, with double-digit growth rates. After the transaction is completed, business management will continue to be delivered to the experienced management team of the PTV Group.
Porsche Holdings is a publicly traded company with Volkswagen holding 52.2% of its shares. The company also plans to invest in the US technology company Inrix and hold a 10% stake.
