The expert group unanimously agreed that the main proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) monitoring instruments developed by the project team met or exceeded the requirements of the contract work book. The concentration detection accuracy reached the order of ppt. Far below the atmospheric volatile organic pollutant emission limits listed in the National Air Pollutant Integrated Emission Standards, the instrument is innovative in terms of ion source design and isomer resolution. The successful development of the instrument will play an important role in the field of atmospheric photochemical reaction research and real-time online detection of atmospheric trace organic pollution, lung cancer and other disease-assisted diagnosis.
