In order to better achieve the compatibility of the entire vehicle, Cummins and Ginaver developed a three-year plan to jointly develop a higher-speed, more dexterous rally truck platform. After Dakar's first test of the 2014 season, both sides evaluated and improved the performance of the trucks. Dongfeng Cummins has set up a project team consisting of products, marketing, materials, and production departments. After undergoing links such as sales channel confirmation, engine matching, production preparation, and assembly and debugging, Cummins has also provided comprehensive support for the Dakar Rally: US headquarters. The engineering team performed the performance tuning of the engine and the technical matching of the UK Huddlesfield turbocharging team. After the engine arrived in the Netherlands on August 29, 2013, the Dongfeng Cummins project team communicated closely with Cummins and Ginaf in the Netherlands. While providing technical support, it also prepared emergency spare parts for the competition, which provided a powerful guarantee for the racing vehicles. It is the work outside these competitions that ensures that the participating vehicles can achieve good performance in the best possible working conditions.
