The product line in the REINTJES portfolio is an engine front mounted gearbox plus a permanent magnet generator with a power of up to 300 kWe. Due to its high torque, this motor/generator can also be used as a starter instead of an air starting system. In addition, the use of this power take-off (PTO) will provide the possibility to shut down the generator set on board during operation.
The system is supplied with a BAE Systems company's motors and REINTJES's gearbox with the following components: integrated multi-disc clutch, input side flexible coupling, bell jar mounted directly on the generator and directly connected to the engine The axis.
REINTJES is convinced that, as the hybrid solution has an innovative feature in future offshore vessels, REINTJES will expand its existing RHS for newbuildings in green, in addition to its newly developed booster gearbox.
