Nearly 19 billion yuan subsidy for new energy vehicle enterprises in the past two years

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicized the "Preliminary Review on the Grant Funds for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicles for 2017 and Prior Years." After review, 119 new energy auto companies in 2016 and 2017 should liquidate the subsidy funds of about 18.97 billion yuan, of which the subsidy for 2016 will exceed 10 billion yuan, and in 2017 will be reduced to about 6.7 billion yuan.

Yutong Bus, BYD, Ankai Bus, JAC, Futian Automobile and other listed car companies have been the recipients of subsidies for the past two years. At the same time, there were 69.757 million vehicles that were not eligible for subsidy reduction in the past two years, and more than 1,000 vehicles such as Jianghuai, Beijing Automotive, Guangzhou Automobile, Great Wall, and Geely had their vehicles reduced. It should be noted that nearly 30 percent of the vehicles that were applied for in the first batch of 2017 failed to pass the audit.

Looking at the overall situation, in 2016, the country launched a total of three subsidies for new energy vehicles produced that year, and the rate of compliance of vehicles that companies applied for subsidies reached 96%, and the amount of subsidies reached 41.16 billion yuan. This means that in 2016, subsidies for new energy vehicles, the average bicycle allowance is 147,700 yuan. Among them, passenger cars and special vehicles are more efficient in subsidizing.

In 2016, the pass rate of subsidies for new energy vehicles was relatively good, and the three batch approval rates were all relatively higher than 90%. It is worth noting that the number of first batch of applications for promotion in 2017 was 230,616, and the number of models that ultimately met the subsidy requirement was 161,667. In 2017, only 70% of the subsidy was subsidized, and 30% of the subsidized models were reduced. The adoption rate was significantly lower than in 2016. The reasons for nuclear reduction mainly include inconsistency between certain parameters of the vehicle model and the announcement; the model does not enter the recommended list; the mileage is less than 20,000 kilometers; the registration date of the driving license is not within the specified time; the national regulatory platform is not accessed; Among them, the main reason for the vehicles that were declassified in 2017 was that they did not access the national regulatory platform.

At present, domestic new energy vehicles have come to the stage of gradually escaping government support and independence. The person in charge of the relevant department pointed out that after the financial subsidies for new energy vehicles retreat, it is necessary to study the corresponding policies and measures, establish a long-term operating mechanism, and move toward healthy development.
