Under the support of the 863 Program's new materials field, the 400V/360Ah lithium iron phosphate lithium battery power battery developed by Peking University Science and Technology Industry Co., Ltd. in cooperation with Peking University has been used in Olympic pure electric buses. The battery pack can run for 150 kilometers per charge. As of the end of February this year, the car had been running more than 10,000 kilometers and passed all the tests required by the automobile product administration department. It was included in the "Vehicle Production Enterprise and Product Announcement (Batch 165)" issued in April. It indicates that the vehicle can be used as a vehicle officially registered by the traffic control department to go on the road.

After years of efforts, it successfully solved the problems in the modification and scale production of lithium iron phosphate materials, and independently designed and built a 500-ton/year lithium iron phosphate production line. It was the first in China to realize the scale production of lithium iron phosphate, and the product performance was achieved. The domestic and foreign customers are widely recognized and praised, and there are a number of Chinese invention patents authorized.
As a new star of battery materials, the excellent performance of lithium iron phosphate in circulation and safety has been recognized by the industry. However, lithium iron phosphate materials still need to be further studied in terms of high current charge and discharge performance, low temperature performance, and volumetric energy. With the gradual improvement of the performance of lithium iron phosphate materials and batteries, their application areas will continue to expand, resulting in great social and economic benefits.
