Two "high-speed boats" dedicated to container transportation in the Yangtze River were put into use in Chongqing. Changhang Chongqing Dongfeng Shipyard said that there are a total of nine container ships with the fastest speeds, and the remaining ones are expected to be completed next year.

It is reported that these ships are ordered by the domestic shipping “Boss” COSCO Group. The whole ship adopts digital stakeout and digital cutting, with a total length of 89 meters, and can ship 210 containers at a time. Thanks to the new environmentally-friendly power system, the speed can reach 20 kilometers per hour and the speed is higher than that of the same type of container ship.

People from COSCO Group said that the vessels will be mainly used for the Chongqing-Shanghai route.
